June, 2011 Stephen M. Reilly, Jr. was successful upholding a recent decision by Mayor
Domenic J. Samo as entertainment licensing authority for the City of Springfield on a
petition for certiorari in the Hampden County Superior Court docketed as Bino, Inc. d/b/a
Center Stage v. City of Springfield acting by and through Mayor Domenic J. Sarno,
acting as the licensing authority for entertainment licenses. The case was noteworthy in that it involved a ten day suspension of a club's entertainment license for a violation
arising under M.G.L.c. 138, sec.34, the statute governing Alcoholic Liquors.

Stephen M. Reilly, Jr. was appointed by Mayor Domenic J. Sarno as
counsel to the City of Springfield Board of License Commissioners to replace outgoing
counsel, the newly appointed District Court Judge Michael Mulcahy. The Board is the
local licensing authority for alcohol, common victular, and auto sales, in the fourth
largest City in New England. The appointment also includes representation of Mayor
Domenic J. Sarno as the entertainment licensing authority for the City. Attorney Reilly's
duties will include general counsel, representation of the Board and Mayor at public
hearings, representation before the Superior Court and the Massachusetts Alcoholic
Beverages Control Commission(ABCC).

Attorney Stephen M Reilly recently became a member of the New England Chapter of CAI (Community Association Institute) / Attorneys Committee. The association is a leader in providing education and resources for community and condominium associations in New England. The Attorneys Committee was formed to continually update and educate community and condominium associations throughout New England as to the ever changing and even more sophisticated changes in community associations and condominium Law.
